Unable to recover annotations issue

Hi, got this error message when trying to recover annotations from a pdf for my dissertation.

'unable to parse pdf document

Caused by: Invalid cross-reference table (could not parse xref)'

I'm not very familiar with code so I have no idea how this works or what it means haha

This is either an issue with your specific PDF file or with lopdf. You might want to bring up the issue with them.
