Ideas for improvements

Hi Julien, The Tracks is basically what I need right now, but there's always space for some improvements. While updating results I've found a few places where things might be a little easier. I decided to add my ideas here since the forum is not updated anymore. Of course, every idea here is just a suggestion. If they can be implemented, even as paid modules, that's great. If not, no problem, we can live without it :)

  1. Copy participants from one event result to another — I have 10 event types in every event like (Practice, Quali 1, Quali 2, Final, etc.) and in each of them I have to manually add participants. I choose to Add all and then I delete participants that are not taking part in this event. But having the possibility to copy from a given event will speed up the process.
  2. Project's ranking showing points from each Event in one table — currently in the project's ranking there are some stats and points summary. Will be great to see there a possibility to show points from every event.
  3. Possibility to set Rank column in Results (admin) based on Performance – I add time values to Performance column to every participant, it will be great to have a button to fill Rank cells with values according to sorting by Performance. Simple solution like this should work fine: I can sort the table of results as I want (by clicking given column name) and there is a button that fills Rank column from top to bottom starting with 1 when you click it. Just that simple. Probably doable with js. After that, you just click Save results and it's done.
  4. Classes/categories of participants in Events — this might work like in WRC or FIA World Rallycross Champ. where in one event there are multiple classes taking part. There should be separate classifications and rankings for that. Right now I use a little workaround for it where the different classes are different projects in Tracks, but that requires duplicating Events for every class.
  5. Participants can assign themselves to upcoming event — when the event is coming up there can be a button available on the event page where logged-in users can click to "take part" in that event. After that they can be added to results for the event.

This is just from the top of my head. I listed them in order in which I will be happy to have them implemented into the Tracks system. Thank you in advance and I hope some of them will be available eventually :)
