Waveshare 2.8" HX8347D Support Status?

Recently I've come into possession of some Waveshare 2.8 SPI displays which use HX8347D driver and would really love to use then in some Raspberry Pi projects via this fast fbcp. I have seen -DHX8357D=ON is available for HX8357D driver displays, but does that (or one of the other driver options) work for the HX8347D?

Only thing I could find on github was a corresponding ESP32 driver but nothing that explicitly works on the Raspberry Pi unfortunately.

Any info is very appreciated
