HD too many access

I'm running Linux Mint 20.3 and access through Onedriver my files on my institutional space. It works OK, but I have noticed that there are too many HD accesses. It even get to the point of freezing for a while the computer running linux. Helio Schechtman

Same issue on Ubuntu 20.04. A lot of (continuous) disk I/O by onedriver.
