connect animate

I want to animate the connection, for example, slowly draw a connection line from node A to node B, how should I do it best? There is an animated part in the 2.x version, but I can't find it in the 5.x version, can you help me?

there was never an api to do this - the animate stuff in 2.x was about moving nodes around.

you might find something useful in this thread:

it's kind of still on the roadmap to add this 'sprout' method, i've just never gotten around to it.
