mpris-integration takes 100% of a CPU

Open cphyc opened this issue 5 years ago • 2 comments

It regularly happens that the mpris-integration plugin takes 100% of one of my CPU, for no obvious reasons.

I will try to come up with a MWE, but in the meantime do you have any idea of why this could happen?

I am running:

  • Arch Linux
  • Firefox 73.0b10 (64-bit)

This has happened a couple of times for me too. I honestly don't know why it could happen, but it has to be in the interaction with the Glib event loop i would assume.

Note that for for users on recent releases of FF (75+?), there is a native support for MPRIS built in Firefox. See https://github.com/jsmnbom/mpris-integration/issues/9.
