Doesnt work in Notepad++ 7.6.2 version

Plugin cant be installed (through interface or manually) in newest (7.6.2) version of Notepadd++. I rolled back to 7.5.4 and everything works.

I am using 7.6.4, it does not work for me too: Cannot install plugins thru Plugin Admin or when I load plugins manually to the plugins folder:(

@700grm had to downgrade to 7.3.3 in order for it to work - same as your methods above, nothing worked in 7.6.4

The dll can be downloaded from https://sourceforge.net/projects/npp-compare/

put it in Notepad++\plugins\ComparePlugin

@niunuinui The ComparePlugin at SourceForge is very old. Those files should not be used. Yaron's comment contains the correct links for the updated ComparePlugin v2.

Same issue on 7.6.6, I couldn't get it work through admin or manual install. :( Very frustrating,

I was finally able to get it to work via manual install on the 32 bit version of 7.6.2.

Can't see to get it to work on 7.6.5, manually or otherwise. Tried the instructions above and no success.
