Package 'python' has no installation candidate

I have problem with

#0 6.878 Reading package lists...

#0 7.205 Package python is not available, but is referred to by another package.
#0 7.205 This may mean that the package is missing, has been obsoleted, or
#0 7.205 is only available from another source
#0 7.205 However the following packages replace it:
#0 7.205   python-is-python3 2to3

#0 7.207 E: Package 'python' has no installation candidate

Solution:

in file install-deps.sh

remove python or replace it by python-is-python3. Both solutions works in my case.

@jshimko is there any package that require python here, or can we simply remove it completely?
