[Bug] Hide "Not interested"-games does not hide every affected game
I had an search opened. Some of the games in the search I marked as "not interested". After reloading the search and clicking "Games, I am not interested" in the "hide"-tab some games disappeared, but some didn't. I took a look on product site but they where marked and also tried to uncheck and recheck the game, still same result.
Were the games that weren't being hidden ones that you had recently marked as "not interested". This feature uses a dataset that's generated by Valve but is only updated about once an hour. Enhanced Steam will also cache this information, so it's possible that a user could mark something as not interested but that wouldn't immediately filter the game in question from the search results until Valve's dynamic list is updated and the Enhanced Steam cache expires.
Ah ok. Yeah the "bug" appeared after i marked some games as not interested, don't know if only them where not hidden... BUT:
After this scenario took place another time i switched to ES options und what i saw was, that none of the options where ticked/color selected/etc. After some time all was fine again but it looks like the plugin was not working anymore for some time and that would be the reason why hiding did not work.
Whatever also sometimes it stops working even if i don't marked games seconds before. When i say not working im pretty sure the whole plugin is not working -> games dont hide, highlights won't show up and "install steam" button does not hide.
and a third problem: when i tried to fix it via disable->enable plugin in options my webbrowser is unuseable for like an minuite or so. Everything is fine but it's like there is no connetion, other services work properly (other webbrowser, steam, steam game in multiplayer, etc.)
does enhanced steam download huge files or anything everytime you activate it or what ? :o
Edit: The "games do not hide" -problem also occurs when enhanced steam is working properly, when this happens i think its the database problem jshackles told me.
Enhanced Steam doesn't download anything when you activate it.
It sounds like (from your description) that it's possible that your browser's extension storage may be corrupt. You can fix this by creating a new profile on Chrome by following these directions from Google:

If your extension storage is corrupt, it can cause extensions like Enhanced Steam to hang or to completely stop functioning. Creating a new profile in Chrome should correct this.

Edit: Looks like it's solved. I keep my eyes open if it happens again.
Ok it still happens that es does not work properly (if you go to options nothing ticked, etc) after i repaired my extension storage. :/
I can confirm problem. I recently mark some addons from addons spamming game for hide it in "all discounts" page, but this is not help and addons show with "Games, I am not interested" active.
Have you tried waiting for like an hour (does not take that long, just to be sure) before vhecking if it worked ? Like jshackles said, it takes a bit for valves list to update.
Update for my situation: Looks like everything works fine. The "addon is completely crashed" bug or what you want to call it did not appear again. But sometimes if i load a large list (when using search) in endless mode i have the feeling that some products dont hide wich i ignored some time ago. When i open their sites they already are marked. Or could it be that my "not interested list is too long? I have a bit more than 6000 objects on it.
So, Enhanced Steam is discontinued. There is now Augmented Steam. Perhaps your requested feature/bugfix is already implemented there! If not, you could move your issue there.
