New feature: Advanced Settings
Hi,
I have some potential settings in mind that might be interesting to integrate in the game. Perhaps you like them: name of setting ['option1', 'option2', ...]
Change gold deposits ['no change', 'remove gold', 'convert to iron', 'convert to coal'] Change gem deposits ['no change', 'remove gems', 'convert to iron', 'convert to coal'] Allows the player to change all gold and or gem deposits at the start of the game to allow him to play with equal fighting strength or with more coal and ore deposits.
Demolition of military buildings ['enabled', 'disabled'] Allows the player to decide whether it is possible to destroy towers or not.
Inexhaustible fish ['enabled', 'disabled'] Allows the player to decide whether there is always fish in the water or not.
Inexhaustible mines ['enabled', 'disabled'] Allows the player to decide whether there is always coal/ore/gold/gems/sulfur in the mountain or not.
*Refund materials when building is destroyed ['enabled', 'no houses', 'disabled'] Allows the player to switch between normal refunds (i think half of build costs), normal refunds without refunds for houses or generally no refunds.
Greetings
Can we group those to make it more noob-proof? We might even add a game mode setting:
normal Normal game Infinite resources Resources won't be depleted, buildings will give full building material when destroyed, ... Iron war No gold, no gems, military buildings cannot be destroyed by you, priests can only heal, ...
Sounds good, but personally I like the combination of infinite ressources and no gold/gems. ;-)
Priest can only heal sounds good as well.
How about an option to make it so that defeating an enemy guard tower causes it to be destroyed rather than captured.
I think that could lead to interesting gameplay with different tactics about when and where you attack.
Once I though if there should be a "command point" system. So that each military building would provide CPs that would be required to upkeep soldiers. E.g. tower would upkeep 10, large tower 20, and a castle 40 soldiers in your ranks. Total limit would then be sum of your military buildings, which would make the human players to keep their towers in some extent.
Even if riding a dead horse... is this project still alive?
