Abandoned domain
Hello there :) I'm writing to let you know there is an abandoned domain torino.js.org since many years (last related event was on 2020). I also wanna add that I'm trying to resurrect that specific community (I live nearby, and I'm a JS dev myself), i recently became the organizer of the related Meetup community but, I cant' get an answer from any of the people involved to transfer ownership :(
👀 The site still has valid content on it, so we won't be removing it. You can read our policy on naming disputes here: https://github.com/js-org/js.org/wiki/Naming-Conflicts
So, in my understanding, the content must be JS-ish related and valid as described, regardless of recency or activity on it? if that's correct, nobody in that city will never be able to get the same subdomain? (the owner may be un-alive, does that matter?)
More-or-less, yes. Per https://github.com/js-org/js.org/wiki/Naming-Conflicts, you're welcome to open a PR to start a dispute over the name, and if your request has more prominence (as determined by GitHub stars), it may eventually be granted to you instead.
@grigio, @gmacario, @wdalmut Since you are all contributors to torino.js.org, I’d like to check whether there is still interest in maintaining this subdomain, or if it might be preferable to release it for someone who would make more active use of it. This appears to be more beneficial for your local JavaScript community compared to its current status.

Hello @indus personally I am fine to leave torino.js.org to someone else (you?) who volunteers to resurrect the Torino JavaScript community.
@grigio and @wdalmut do you have any concerns?
It's fine for me to leave the domain
@gmacario It’s not me who wants to build something with the subdomain, but rather @ShinobiWPS, who opened this issue.
@grigio Since you originally requested the subdomain, your approval is most important. Thanks for being so understanding and for giving others the opportunity to start something new with it. The official way would be to open a pull request and remove the subdomain in question from the list. But if you’d prefer not to take on any extra work, I can simply take your approval here as permission to transfer it to @ShinobiWPS when he requests it.
@grigio I just realized that it’s necessary to remove the CNAME from here before someone else can use it, since GitHub won’t accept the same CNAME in another repo as long as the old one is still in place. (It’s just my assumption that @ShinobiWPS also intends to use GitHub Pages.)
Assumption correct @indus
I would like to close this...
@ShinobiWPS You can request the removal via the GitHub support. But that requires a new page. They would ask to put a verification code in the DNS to prove legitimacy.
@grigio It would help if you could just remove the CNAME.

If I'am correct, now I have to do something else to be able to use the subdomain "torino" again? @indus
@ShinobiWPS You just have to make a regular pull request for a subdomain.
I'm this case means, reverting what @grigio have done , right?

@ShinobiWPS No - not any more. He was so kind to even add a PR to remove it from our list #10403
