Is there any plan to update this to do conversions to log4j2.xml?

For instance, for the conversion of appenders, the converter currently creates “appender-ref”, and for log4j2, it needs to be “AppenderRef”.

No plans, but I'll have a look and see what it will take to support it.

Maybe to apply XSLT is sufficient.
