Request: Bump version 3.0.0 to 3.0.1 on master and add git tag

Hello!

I maintain the ptl port on FreeBSD, and I would like to update ptl in the FreeBSD ports tree to the latest version.

Within the ports tree, this is most easily accomplished by specifying git tags, when the source code is fetched e.g. from GitHub.

Hence my request to add a new release tag to the most recent commit on the master branch, bumping the version as well.
