As identified by @rodyoukai, this is related to conflicts between the jQuery releases introduced with the upgrade for https://rubygems.org/gems/jquery-rails/versions/4.4.0 and (https://github.com/samvera/browse-everything/blob/v1.1.2/vendor/assets/javascripts/jquery.treetable.js) (please see https://github.com/ColmexBDCV/colmex_hyrax/blob/master/Gemfile#L84)
