Should Stefan number be changed to a function of melt fraction

Right now it is set as a configurable constant.

Looking at Equation 3 in Shoji + Kurita (2014, ApJ vol 789) they state: St = derivative_vol_melt_fraction * heat_fusion * volume_viscoelastic / (specific_heat * volume_layer)

Is this an accurate model? Where is this derived?
