Yea looking at this is on my to-do list, there was a bug in that feature a couple versions ago I had to make a workaround for. Maybe squad fixed...
Um what version are you using here? cause this is trying to load Forge and we haven't enabled that yet.

the fact that all the mods say 1.8.9 is highly suspicious.
ctrl-esc opens the start menu so it sounds like the ctrl key is getting stuck pressed
prolly some kind of malfunction in our java keyboard robot. or a bug in the robot itself.
is there an easy way to test riding?
Is this minecraft profiles? or VR profiles?
I am of the opinion that those profiles don't actually do anything.
