Extremely nauseating stuttering/shaking

The game seems to stutter a lot- I am not certain, but it appears as if the game is rapidly alternating between two frames for a second in what I assume is a lag spike. This would be fine if not for the fact that this is VR, and it is EXTREMELY nauseating. I played the latest 1.17.1 release and had no such issues.

Specs: Oculus Rift, i7 6700, GTX 1070, 32gb ram (2gb allocated) SteamVR and MultiMC

Can confirm I'm having the same problem. What I see on the performance graph is the game is reprojecting frames when it shouldn't. I went back and installed the previous version and the performance was smooth. My frame time was around 2.5ms at most so it should not have been dropping frames

Intel i7-8700k, Nvidia 3090, 32gb of RAM

Two months late but if you still have the issue then try allocating 4GB RAM instead of 2GB. That did the trick for me.
