EmulationStation Hidden not work

while placing my duplicate roms in the hidden, when closing the emulationstation and simply opening the changes I made in the hidden not saved

I think the best approach is to delete the entry of each hidden rom from the gamelist. The file will still be there, but the entry won't appear in the UI.

I have the same issue. After restarting, the hidden files appear again. Deleting the games from the gamelist doesn't do anything because emulationstation looks in the rom folder. But i don't want to delete the rom, i just want to hide it.

Seeing the same issue running latest version of RetroPie. Hiding is not actually hiding games from the list.

You can "fix" the issue by removing games from the gamelist.xml and using the parsing from xml option only. This way you don't delete the rom but it's not shown in EmulationStation.

Or you could use a better build like Caruso's.
