Link to or embed relevant videos

We have a lot of videos on YouTube on a wide range of topics. Most of them have barely more viewers then live audience at their conference. Getting them into relevant articles on this site should be a good way to get more out of them.

:+1: for including videos. There is a lot of great content in those videos, and this is a nice way to point people to those videos.

Would you only link to the videos of in there jquery youtube channel? There is a lot of great third-party video content on youtube too.

:+1: I think this is a great idea!

Not all videos fit together with an article. We might just include a 'videos' section too. IMHO some people are just searching for videos, and don't want to read articles.

I think the point @jzaefferer is trying to make is that we create a section for our conference video's and have another avenue for users to view them.

Having outside user content is a bad idea IMO as it'll be even harder trying to keep that content up-to-date then the text on this site today.

With that said, I think we could do small videos at the top of articles that walk users through the examples on the page. Again, this will also be a lot harder to maintain, especially after the first content update.

My vote is to start a conferences section and at least move those video's in.

I'll see if I can work on that this week.

I know this is a very old issue but does anyone have an idea of how to proceed? Should we create a conferences section as suggested by @RedWolves or embed some videos in the relevant pages?
