Expand algorithm to more cities

Open Furness804 opened this issue 1 year ago • 1 comments

Not so much an issue as it is a request, but I’d still like to see the algorithm applied to more cities across the globe. The ability to add custom lines negates any requirement to create new sets of lines, so would it be possible to simply apply the algorithm, or a slightly modified version of it, to other cities. Some ideas for cities to expand the algorithm to are provided below:

  • London
  • Paris
  • Toronto
  • Montreal
  • Tokyo
  • Seoul
  • Vancouver
  • Los Angeles
  • San Francisco
  • Dallas/Fort Worth
  • Washington DC
  • Chicago
  • Manchester
  • Glasgow (would require ability to create looped lines)

Connecticut, Eastern Pennsylvania, and the rest of North Jersey should be at the top of the list for geographic expansion. Loading scenarios from URL and exposing the line-group and bullet-name features for custom lines should come before geographic expansion of course.
