It would be awesome to expose the metrics and stats collected and expose them over snmp, have you looked into this or what all would be involved?

I can defiantly look into this. I did come across a SNMP Python library capable of sending SNMP TRAP messages. I can look into this for sure after I complete or fail at my current goal of a real time map capable of handling and/or filtering input from multiple decoders unless something more pressing comes up. I cannot set a time frame but if the PySNMP library is capable of doing what is requested it will defiantly work with the direction I am taking the project in v3.x and be something I would be interested in adding. Depending on demand for this and other features I can prioritize it higher in the list.
