ERROR: Could not find plugin descriptor 'plugin-descriptor.properties' in plugin zip

There seems to be a missing file which elasticsearch plugin install expects, so I get the error:

ERROR: Could not find plugin descriptor 'plugin-descriptor.properties' in plugin zip

What am I doing wrong here?

Current version of JDBC importer is not a plugin, it's a standalone tool.
