Mobile safari new entry page load animation issue

The new entry page animates strangely. It appears as if the entire page is animating upwards when the header should stay at the top of the screen and the icons should animate upwards as they do in Chrome.

This may be due to focusing the editable area too soon. Perhaps delaying the focus until the animation is complete will fix it.
