Update to work with GOG release ?

Hi,

I'm curious if there is any chance to update this patcher to be able to work with the Good Old Games release of Quake Enhanced as well ? (Which is currently £7.99 on GOG...) It's not currently compatible due to differences in the binaries.

I play on the 247ffa.com servers but being based in the UK I find the lag can be quite bad at times (150ms +) as the servers are presumably in the US or elsewhere, and I would like to set up a UK based 24/7 public server which I can host at work on a spare server with a 2Gb connection...

The issue is all the limitations of the Enhanced release - such as no true dedicated server that can be found by the match browser, (so the "server" is really a listen server running as a client) the lobby interrupting normal map rotation etc... this patcher solves the lobby map rotation issue nicely on my steam copy, but my intention was to run the "server" using my GOG copy of the game and play at home using my Steam copy as if did it the other way around any time I played any Steam game it would shut down the Steam version of Quake running on the server... hence wanting to be able to patch the GOG version to solve the map rotation issue on a server that can run uninterrupted.

Another question is how are you customising the server "name" on your servers ? Have you just made up multiple bethesda accounts with bogus names named after what you want the server to be called or is there a way to patch it to allow the name command to work ?

As a Quake player from the beginning (and one of the developers of the Dimebox Creepcam mod if you remember that) some of the limitations of this re-release frustrate me - not even being able to change your player name let alone set up a proper dedicated server is quite frustrating. Lack of working demo recording and playback is another...
