(Apple) Play! becomes unresponsive after closing it with multitasking

iPhone XR on iOS 12.4.

Closing the app using the built in Exit button in Play! Emulator and closing via multitasking doesn't make the app freeze like this. This only happens when a game freezes or you decided to close the app using the multitasking feature. Rebooting the device makes the app work again.

This is an odd side effect of using ptrace to let the emulator run JITed code. I don't think this can be fixed unfortunately.
