Weird paths from the Trips tab when using "Snap to road"

Sometimes when using Snap to road you get weird little paths or loops in the path. See this file as an example: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/7045813/Stable/BadPath.html

The problem here is that one of the points (the first in this example) is placed on the wrong side of a divided road. When asking for routes between this point and the next set of waypoints, Google Maps has to twist the route around to make it work.

Not sure what to do about this.
