About the article summary display format

Can the summary be displayed as a unique part of the article? My understanding of summary is that it is an overview of the article, mainly to quickly show the current article to readers. But the summary is not strictly part of the article (or it can actually not exist). So I don't know if there is a way to isolate it.

I tried to use the Markdown syntax ">" to make it part of the beginning of the article. However, ">" will be displayed in the list on the homepage. This UI display is quite unsightly (it can even be regarded as a summary bug).

What I mean is that I want the summary to be displayed at the head of the article, but I don't want the list to be parsed as markdown. So I don't know if there is any solution to deal with it?

I personally think that a switch can be added to the article configuration to turn off markdown parsing summary content. I think this feature is actually quite valuable. 🤔

Secondly, I found a good idea in other themes. It is to put the change history of the article in the metadata section of the article. It would be great if congo also supports this feature. https://foxihd.github.io/hugo-brewm/en/post/authoring-redaction-history/ Image

Thank you very much
