No clear description of how to install

Hi. Debian 8 does not have glark in the repository as earlier releases of Debian did. In looking over the contents of the glark zip file I cannot see any sequence for installing. There are a few Ruby scripts, but which ones should be run and in which order? Have these been tested on any specific distributions of Linux?

Thanks for making glark available ... cheers, drl

Hi. Debian 8 does not have glark in the repository as earlier releases of Debian did.

It's been dropped from Ubuntu, too. After a couple of hours of fruitless searching for a source package to build it from I stumbled onto instructions on a Ruby site: gem install glark

gem installed several prerequisites (I've only used Ruby a couple of times, so I don't have many libraries installed), and a more recent version of glark than what's here.

Fun fact: after I got frustrated with google searching, I asked chatgpt for installation instructions. It gave me a very professional-looking step-by-step for downloading and installing, including this URL. For a Perl package. I tried to ask it about a Ruby install, and it replied with something that basically said "Oh, no, you can't do that: it's a Perl package". Sometimes "AI" stands for "Artificial Ignorance" ;-)
