Use in Codespace ?

A few weeks ago the Codespace Beta opened for me. I have not played much with it, and am generally not all that familiar with VS Code either -- but when I mentioned this @nathaneastwood kindly pointed me to you repo.

So I built a container this afternoon, on top of r2u (see here but it is pretty bare) to make any CRAN package installation easy and failsafe.

Now I have the container loaded in Codespaces (with your nice setup running via the hook in root's own .Rprofile but "Codespace does not know it / see it" and still prompts for another install. Which happens in seconds with r2u -- but I so agree that placing all these package in a separate library folder is so much better.

So would you know of a trick to tell Codespace that language server for R is actually around? Do we declare a port? It feels this is very close thanks to your fine work and it would be lovely to nudge it over the goal line. My description may be a little imprecise, a lot of this 'edit in the browser' setup is fairly new to me.
