Library stops connecting to networks after a prolonged use

OS: Ubuntu 14.04 Wifi adapter: Linksys AE3000

Disabling wifi via the gnome network menu and re-enabling fixes the problem. I can probably scan or enable and disable via nmcli to fix the problem.
