Unable to cut text: ctrl-x
With Claire installed, I am unable to cut text using the keyboard. I would normally use 'ctrl-x' to accomplish this. I realize that 'ctrl-x ctrl-f' is the binding to activate claire, but what am I left with as a replacement for ctrl-x? Do I need to have a more full set of emacs bindings set up so I can use 'C-w' to cut?
Sorry, I should really set it up to only set those keybindings in emacs
mode. I'll add it to my todo list. You can fix the problem (as with any
other wayward plugins in LT) by removing their offending keybindings in the
-:
field of your user.keymap (take a look at claire's keymap file to
figure out what exactly to remove) and then remap it to anything you like
in +:
.
If you need more help, let me know. I'm currently at work and will get back to you as time permits. I'm going to keep this issue open though since I really ought to provide a decent set of standard keybindings at least alongside the emacs bindings for those who would prefer them.
