option to remap right shift to altgr

i am missing badly the option to use altGR to type characters otherwise only available after switching the keyboard layout. one such example would be:

setxkbmap fr
altGR + e to enter "€"

would sacrifice the right Shift key to emulate altGR key but did not manage to get it working. could you please take a look?
