Set font size of uncertainty
I cannot find any information to make the uncertainty smaller (along with the preceding \pm symbol). If this is supported the doc should mention it. If not it would be nice to have.
This is not currently supported. Can you point to a use in the published (professionally-typeset) literature?
I'll post it here if I find one. I just though it could help with readability and when we need to squeeze a table within the line width.
This would really be useful, and an example would be the recent LLaMA-3 paper (https://arxiv.org/abs/2407.21783, e.g. Table 9-13).
I guess that would be related to https://github.com/josephwright/siunitx/issues/184.
@ScientiaEtVeritas That's not a published example, sorry - author-typeset material doesn't really count, I need things typeset by professionals. (Authors ask for all sorts of stuff, doesn't mean editorial offices/typesetters do it.)
