Discrete font sizes

Are there any good reasons why beamer sets the fonts sizes discretely in beamerbasefont.sty instead of setting them as ranges?

That way we ought to be able to get rid of the

LaTeX Font Warning: Font shape `T1/cmss/m/n' in size <22.76219> not available (Font) size <20.74> substituted on input line 14.

when using custom font sizes. At present (and I'm not sure why), loading fix-cm before the documentclass, does not really change anything.

Lol, just use fix-cm, but make sure to load it in the preamble.

Would be nice if we did not have to though
