Not working on file:// URLs

The search box doesn't show when I hit the button or the keyboard shortcut while visiting a file:// URL. No issues on http:// and https:// URLs.

I think this is a limitation of the scope on which Extensions can operate in Chrome. I'll look into it but I wouldn't expect much.
