Installing locally

With the imminent closure of Google apps free tier, I'm looking for something to be able to read my gmail takout mbox files (I don't want to import them into another mail viewer)

This is it| It's just perfect for what I am looking for.

Except: I'd like to run it locally.

I've had a quick look at dropping the files behind a webserver, and accessing the index.html in the public folder. Which doesn't work for me. I'm not really familiar with js, or the requirements here.

Would it be possible for some simple outline pointers, to get me up and running with a local install (for privacy and security reasons)?

Sure! Building it is a bit of a pain. I can probably make a release .zip file. It’s probably not working because you’re missing some files that get created when it’s built.

Any update on this? Would prefer to run this locally if possible.
