Locked Out

Installed bbPress on my site, and immediately had a vairy significant number of smap sign ups. Researched solutions, and came across WangGuard, installed it, and a week or two later, my own login was blocked. This is the message I was getting when I would try to login:

Your account is under moderation. Contact with the webmaster

Disabled WangGuard (renamed the plugin folder), and I could then login with no problem (but the spam was back in spades).

I have not tried to reactivate, but am willing to do so, just wondering if anyone knows what I might be doing wrong for WangGuard to block me as the Administrator and Key Master.

This is very rare.

The reason is WangGuard moderation, but first you had to activate it, and second, your user name had to be market as "need moderation".

Theoretically Administrator never has to be in moderation
