Alternate sound for Fairy Shriek.aiff

I hope it is OK to post this here. If there is a better place, please move it and advise me.

As much as I love playing the game, I find listening to poor Little Miss Muffet shrieking very unpleasant.

I created an alternative sound for the Shriek.aiff file. I wanted to share it with everyone. Just to give it a listen, take the attached ZIP file and unzip it. Take the AIFF file and open it with Quicktime. Do this by right-clicking on the downloaded AIFF file and select to open it with Quicktime. Give it a listen. If you want to give it a try, here are my directions to use it in the game:

On the Mac, this is how to install it while Mighty Mike is NOT running. If it is running, quit the Mighty Mike application and follow these steps: 1)Right click on the Mighty Mike application located in the Applications folder. 2)Select Show Package Contents. 3) Double-click on the Contents folder and then do the same to Resources, Audio and finally on Fairy. 4) Notice in Fairy there is a file named Shriek.aiff. 4a)(Optional) Drag the original Shriek.aiff file to store it elsewhere on another drive to restore it. I believe if you just drag it on the same drive, it will only create an alias. 5) To replace that original sound with my alternate, drag the attached Shriek.aiff into the Fairy folder. 6) You will be prompted and select Replace to replace the original with my alternative. 7)Double-click on the Mighty Mike application to play the game. When you are on the Fairy Tale Trial (the one with the witches) level, the shrieking Little Miss Muffet previously did is replaced with a "Oh dear, spiders".

If you entirely mess things up, you can always re-install the game, of course. Enjoy! - David Shriek.aiff.zip
