[Bug]: I just installed Tahoe in my Mac and ICE is not working as it used to. I am attaching the log report sent back form IOS. Since the principal functionality that stopped work is to have the menu in a separate bar below the menu bar.

@kmnola why are you disliking? Just use dev version? If you use brew, just use this instead:

@akippnn The dev version is not working for everyone. A lot of people are reporting that even dev.2 is causing the missing layout issue for them, yet every comment about the issue is "use dev.2".

Do you not see OP's post? They literally said they use the version 11.12. This issue is fixed in the release the dev linked.

If anything, the issue should be closed. If the latest dev has other issues, use that instead and do the bug report properly. There's a reason it's tagged as a dev version and not a public release. Is there something wrong with linking the new version because the user is reporting a bug from the old version that was fixed in the dev version?

I've seen issue #744 and that should stay in issue #744. Your issue is a user environment issue. You're polluting other issues because of your own personal issue. Does this make that any more clear or not? If you want to investigate, the project is open source and you can submit a PR whenever you'd like.

I originally commented here because I (a new user of Ice) had the same issue after using Tahoe, and resolved it by installing 11.13-dev.2. The developer's own comment fixed the problem I had, and as you can see from my screenshots, it is working 100% with no issues.

I wasn't necessarily trying to come after you. I don't think it was just appropriate to use this issue to voice your own concerns. There's a specific issue you already participate in.

There's a -dev tag, of course it wasn't meant to work at all times. There's why the issue tracker exists. But if you noticed, people got it working and you did after creating a new user (hence it is a user environment issue). If the issue was ever reproducible or there was a fix, which doesn't seem to be the case, making a fix would've been easier.

I apologise if my earlier comments came across as dismissive. And I can personally comment because I know these comments can be marked as off-topic and be hidden, which I have done now.
