When I switch the language the url parameters are not passed

Are you sure this is a framework related issue ? If it's CMS related, you might want to use one of the following ressources:

Also, you should now test with staging branch of the CMS as some issues with multilingual joomla have been solved. https://github.com/joomla/joomla-cms
