Template settings page does not detect expired session

If I quit my browser while editing template settings (/administrator/index.php?option=com_ajax&astroid=manager&id=20) and then restart the browser, the tab I had is restored and it acts like I can use the page, but changes I make fail silently and are not saved. Once I reload the page it operates normally again.

It's probably Caching on browser level.
