Article Type Issues

I thought I might combine them into one issue becasue they are all related

  • Article Type badge does not show unless you have 'Read Time' enabled
  • the youtube video thumbnail does not work see image below -- I used https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vc8MddDFRw4 -- The video display ok in the article -- The corrupted thumbnail does not show not show unless you have 'Read Time' enabled (seems fine now for some reason) -- I have inherit options all enabled in the article and menu

Probably a bug. @Sumesh577 to investigate and fix.

@shoulders

  1. Article badge does show even if the Read Time is disabled from both the ends that joomla article as well as from Astroid backend: https://www.screencast.com/t/wpzs5CBpK

  2. The youtube video thumbnail does work for the article it's just your video(https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vc8MddDFRw4) that does not have any thumbnail such that it is showing this result: https://www.screencast.com/t/yrwplUt7z. Also there is no connection with the Read Time here as well.

@Nishtha003

I am not using the dev branch and my browser is firefox. I will recheck these issues with the dev branch and chrome.

Once I have re-checked I will post my results here.

thanks

Sure let us know your output on this, though I even checked it on Firefox with live version there also I couldn't see the same results as in Chrome.

I will have a look at this again shortly

I have just looked at this again

Video Place holder (On the blog layout)

  • when i set an article type to video and use the following url https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xaUUNL3g-mU I get a dodgy place holder

image

  • I also get a 404 error.

image

  • Is this normal behaviour
  • is the url location wrong?
  • If this is normal behaviour from youtube (and others), is there anyway astroid could use its own placeholder.
  • perhaps use hqdefault.jpg

This tool seems to find the thumbnails at youtube with the maxresdefault.jpg also missing (i think) https://boingboing.net/features/getthumbs

Missing Article type Tags

This is working as expected now.
