ST unable to update the package due to InvalidCertificateException

Hi,

ST has been throwing an error related to this package for a while now, something related to a certificate for the repository. Here's the console message:

Package Control: Error downloading package. HTTP exception InvalidCertificateException (Host codeload.github.com returned an invalid certificate (_ssl.c:489: error:1409442E:SSL routines:ssl3_read_bytes:tlsv1 alert protocol version)) downloading https://codeload.github.com/jonschlinkert/sublime-monokai-extended/zip/master.

Unable to download Monokai Extended. Please view the console for more details.

Is there anything I can do to fix this? I'm running Sublime Text 2.0.2 on Ubuntu 16.04.2.
