That sounds like a normal bug to me. Prevent entering vehicles when carrying a jerry can should fix it.

We had the same issue on our session today. Pretty much what was described in above comments, I don't have any steps to reproduce or further information.

RHS is indeed using their own armor system for both vehicles and gear/units. They are making a total modification and don't have any means of making it vanilla-like or similar,...

Happened to me as well, a couple of times. Maybe a work-around would be to disable simulation when releasing it?

Indeed, only happens with slightly weird movement, very minor damage.
