[GUI][Feature request] Multiple modes/times for intensity

Open breznak opened this issue 7 years ago • 5 comments

Maybe similar to an old issue https://github.com/jonls/redshift/issues/33 I'd like to be able to set several (or atleast 3 if hard-coded) times/"activities" in the GUI and assign a specific color-setting to each of them.

Like:

  • 6-8am "Morning", 80%red
  • 9-15 "work": full color, 80%brightness
  • "outside" 100%brightness
  • 18-21 "evening" 80%red, ...
  • 22+ "night", 40%red, 40%brightness

I was thinking about it just now, flux has something like this now. It would be nice for redshift as well.

Switching time could be increased as well. In winter it is too dark during evening if I use same settings like for "deep night"...

This would be really helpful for me, I'm constanlty changing brightness manually of my two monitors between dayhours.

Bump. I request this feature to be developed and pushed into redshift.

Putting a +1 on this, especially useful up here in the north where the sun sets at 3PM and it would be nice to have some stage for when it's dark outside but you still have work to do...

Add brightness correction a slider to manual adjust.

There are dark days when a little bnrightness is enough, others without clouds and the sun shining it is necessary to have more bightness. That's why I think it would be interesting to add some option to be able to make this adjustment. Related to this I have been looking into how to do this. I found that the brightness parameter is duplicated.

I'm attaching a screenshot to see if it's on purpose or a bug. brightness_duplicated
