Change temperature from the icon

Thank you for developing redshift! I'd love to see this feature implemented: changing the current temperature on the fly by hovering the mouse on the gtk icon and moving the scrolling wheel (or dragging a slider maybe). The action should affect the value of the daytime or nighttime temperature (based on the current time of the day) and save the new value.

Could dbus be the best way to send brightness updates from the gtk icon to the running redshift process?

jonls is working on D-Bus support so thing like this can be done.

Yes, such a feature would be very useful indeed. Perhaps also add the same functionality in the Info dialog of the GUI. It would be much nicer to be able to do it on the fly from the GUI, instead of messing with the config file and then restarting the app.
