Don't build from source if possible

If possible, the release version of this script should never build from source. Currently it's needed because of bugs with the prebuilt binaries, but perhaps I should build it myself and set up a PPA. Building from source on lower-tier hardware is going to take forever.

However, I should definitely include an option to build from source.
