Cannot Remove "Default" Cemu

Open Jaliborc opened this issue 7 years ago • 6 comments

If you move your Cemu installation, there is currently no way to remove it from the app settings and add the new location:

  • Open settings.
  • Cemu paths
  • Add new location. Give it a name.
  • Cannot remove "default" location, even when there is a second one

This is intended behavior, not a bug

Then it is a very bad behavior. If the installation no longer exists, why should one be forced to keep it there, as the default even?

The original intent was to ensure at least one instance is always saved as there are several other parts internally that rely on a “default” installation (mostly legacy code from when only one instance was supported). However this behavior isn’t consistent with the game folder instance behavior, and does warrant a rewrite

A suggestion: only allow to remove a Cemu instance if at least two are registered. This will allow to register the new location, and then remove the old one.

This would be nice if this was fixed, i don't think unremovable directories is a good idea, and it's very frustrating

Shouldn't CEMUI be capable of having no directory pointed to, and then it hooks once it's pointed to a new cemu.exe?
