can you make tree as file destination?

In eliot I have method to_file. It would be super-useful if we would have to_tree_file method for eliottree. So far, I have to implement such method from scratch for each of my library :(((

Also, could you explain what you would expect to_tree_file to do?

If you have some existing code that you could share, that would also be helpful.
