GetX loacl Storage issue

Open purvang-prepseed opened this issue 4 months ago • 2 comments

Honestly, GetX local storage feels like it was designed during a coffee break and never revisited. The initialization process is unpredictable, like playing roulette with your app state—sometimes it works, sometimes it just throws a tantrum. And don’t even get me started on how it magically clears itself without asking for permission, as if it thinks it knows better than the developer. For a package that markets itself as a complete solution, its storage management feels like a third-class citizen—unreliable, undercooked, and just waiting to ruin a production build when you least expect it.

I’m using GetStorage to persist simple key-value data for app state management. The expectation is that once a value is stored, it remains available across app restarts unless manually cleared. However, I’ve observed that after a couple of restarts, the stored data disappears without any explicit clear call.

Just use shared_preferences for better persistence.

The comments you're making are truly childish, and I genuinely feel sorry for you. I’ve worked on over 30 projects using this tool in various ways. If you lack the ability to use this tool, it’s better to stick to basic tools like shared_preferences, as our friend here, who’s stuck in the past, seems to prefer. 😏 Despite this, I’m still willing to guide you on using this package. If you’re interested, share your implementation details and describe your issue more thoroughly so we can assist you. The way you’re talking is purely destructive and only makes you sound like a hater.
